To keep fresh ideas, techniques, and inspiration flowing, Waterloo Watercolor Group conducts workshops for its members and other interested artists. Held for three or four days each spring and fall, these workshops are presented by renowned artists from across the country, representing a variety of styles from realism to Impressionism and abstract.
Check out the details of our upcoming workshops below, and plan to attend the one or ones that speak to you, your goals, and journey as an artist. The focus is on inspiring and improving your art — the camaraderie and FUN are bonuses!
Barbara comes to us from the Napa Valley in California. Her work appears in 40+ books and publications, she has served as juror and board member of the American Watercolor Society, and her list of awards and accolades is too extensive to include here.
Barbara is known and admired for her fluid style and ethereal touch, as her art reflects the rhythm and beauty of life. She terms her style “abstract realism,” and encourages her students to “Paint in watercolor loosely and freely, embracing the entire experience of nature while finding your own creative voice.”
Barbara Nechis’ Workshop is on September 19-21, 2002 for Members $400 for Non-Members $435
WWG workshops are held at the beautiful Riverbend campus in Austin, 9am-4pm. The space is spacious and comfortable, and parking is easy and plentiful!
