DESCRIPTION:We are now accepting watercolor paintings from members for exhibition at an exciting new venue dedicated to showcasing watercolor art. Art Direct at Cedar Park has expanded into a gallery space\, offering a one-stop solution for artists\, including art scanning\, print services\, and more.This call operates on a first-come\, first-served basis\, with each artist allowed to submit one painting\, no larger than full-sheet size. Due to limited space\, submissions will close once we reach 40 paintings. Additionally\, each participating artist may submit up to two art prints. \n\n\n\nImportant Details:\n\n\n\nPlease read carefully and ensure timely submissions!Timeline:1. Art Drop-off: February 27th\, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church parking lot (8134 Mesa Dr\, Austin\, TX 78759).2. Exhibition Installation: February 28th.3. Art Pickup: Available at Art Direct from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM or at St. Matthew’s parking lot at noon.4. DESCRIPTION:Introduction to gouache – painting a still life.Learn how to use opaque watercolors\, a versatile medium\, to create a stunning still life painting. Here you will learn how to paint many surfaces like glass\, transparent glass\, fruits and drape. Instructor will guide you to how to do color mixing without making it muddy or chalky.   \n\n\n\nRashmi Thakur\, a visual artist residing in Austin TX\, has had a career spanning across various mediums\, including watercolors\, oils\, silk\, and textiles.
