DESCRIPTION:The Spring Member Exhibition will be held at the Bee Cave Arts Foundation from April 01 through May 02 \n\n\n\nCALENDAR: \n\n\n\n\nFeb 28 – Open for admissions\, http://www.onlinejuriedshows.com \n\n\n\nMar 15 – Entry deadline \n\n\n\nMar 22 – Notification of acceptance via email \n\n\n\nMar 27\, Friday 1:30 – 4:00 – Hand deliver accepted entries to Bee Cave Arts Foundation for installation \n\n\n\nApr 11\, 2:00 – 4:00 – Reception and Awards Presentation \n\n\n\nApr 19 – Judging \n\n\n\nMay 2\, Saturday 1:30 – 4:00 – Strike \n\n\n\n\nJUROR: \n\n\n\nAlicia Farris \n\n\n\nAWARDS: \n\n\n\n\nFirst: $350\n\n\n\nSecond: $250\n\n\n\nThird: $200\n\n\n\n8 Merit Awards: $35 each\n\n\n\n\nEligibility Requirements·  Open to all current members of Waterloo Watercolor Group. Go to waterloowatercolor.org to join. Entry through onlinejuredshows.com.·  Artwork must not have been included in a previous WWG juried exhibition and must have been completed within the last three years.·  Entries must be original and not copied from another artist’s work or publications. Paintings produced in classroom/workshop under supervision of artist instruction are not eligible. Work should not be based on reference photos by others. All accepted work must remain at Bee Cave Arts Foundation for the duration of the exhibition except in the event of a sale. In the event of a sale\, the artist will be notified and given the opportunity to replace the sold piece. The content of the artwork must be family friendly\, excluding nudity\, offensive or violent themes\, and political statements.·  All work must be hand delivered and picked up at the Gallery. \n\n\n\nMedia and Substrates. Watercolor\, gouache\, liquid acrylics\, as well as watercolor pencils\, crayons and water soluble inks are accepted.. Mediums\, gels\, gesso and other painting supplements may be used. Pastels\, gold and silver leaf are acceptable as long as water-based medium is dominant.. No water-based oils.. Collage is acceptable using hand-painted white papers painted with water-based media and no more than 30% of surface.. Acceptable papers/supports include cotton rag\, oriental papers\, synthetic paper (Yupo)\, watercolor canvas. Waxed or varnished watercolors accepted. \n\n\n\nHow to Enter·   Electronic applications will be accepted beginning February 24\, and ending March 12.·   Entry fee of $30 for 1-3 images.·   The submitting artist agrees to the terms and conditions stated in this prospectus\, including granting permission to reproduce artists’ work for publicity purposes.·   To submit your electronic application\, please go directly to: http://www.onlinejuriedshows.com and look for Waterloo Watercolor Group 48th Annual Spring Member Exhibit 2026. Image Preparation·   Images should be no less than 800 pixels and no more than 1920 pixels on the longest dimension @72dpi.  The file format may be JPG.·   Images must not show mat or frame and must be an accurate representation of the artwork.·   Specific details on how to prepare your image can be found at:http://www.onlinejuriedshows.com.  Click on the “Image Help” tab. \n\n\n\nSales·  Sales of exhibited art work is subject to a 30% donation to Bee Cave Arts Foundation. Payment for the full amount of the sale will be provided by BCAF to the artist at strike and artist is to provide payment of the 30% donation to BCAF.· All taxes are handled by the artist.· Artwork marked Not for Sale (NSF) will NOT be accepted. Presentation of Artwork and Framing· Mats\, if used\, must be white\, off-white or a pale neutral. A colored liner may be used.· Acceptable framing materials include metal and non-ornate wood frames. Paintings may be mounted on cradle board with finished edges.  · Acrylic glazing only\, no glass.· Framed work must not exceed 42 inches in height or width with a minimum of 10″ in either directions.·  Paintings should be secured with flat D-ring hardware and wire. DESCRIPTION:Landscapes! Animals! A mini Yupo session! Alicia Farris conducts workshops all over the world\, and now Austin\, Texas. She will teach us to use values\, brush strokes\, color choices\, and design elements to interpret and define our subjects. \n\n\n\nAlicia says what catches her eye and heart are the “essence and emotion” of her subjects.
