Of these three\, acompelling narrative carries the most weight. It is also the most elusive. Narrative isnot a painting’s backstory\, but rather what you feel when you look at it.” \n\n\n\nAWARDS: \n\n\n\n\nFirst: $350\n\n\n\nSecond: $250\n\n\n\nThird: $200\n\n\n\n8 Merit Awards: $35 each\n\n\n\n\nQuick Tip for entering shows from Lynn Ferris:When students ask\, “How do I decide which painting to enter?” here’s a suggestion I make: Lineall of your possibilities up in a room you seldom use. Don’t look at them for a couple of days. Gointo the room again when the light is somewhat muted (dusk is a good time). See which paintingyour eye goes to first. SUMMARY:Bookworms: Book Discussion (one morning)
DESCRIPTION:The art book club Bookworms is open to all members of WWG. Our next meeting will be held on Saturday\, May 3\, at 9:30 am. \n\n\n\nWe will be discussing Hayden Herrera’s biography Frida: A Biography of Frida Kahlo. As always\, it is OK to read a different book about Frida—or\, in this case\, to read one about Diego Rivera since their lives are so intertwined. There is also an excellent documentary on Amazon Prime entitled Frida; it is highly recommend both for its substance and its artistry in presentation. If you are interested in attending Bookworms and are not already on our mailing list\, send an email to  bookworms@waterloowatercolor.org  in order to be added to the list for notices. We move around to the homes of different members\, so each meeting will be held at a different location. This information will be sent to you in an informational email. There are four meetings a year: February\, April or early May\, September\, and early November. We try to avoid conflicts with holidays and summer vacations. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nMember’s home\, address was given in informational email to mailing list \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is open to all WWG members. \n\n\n\nAny Questions?\n\n\n\nPlease email the Bookworms Chair
