Al Kline ~ Loose and Textured Watercolors
October 12 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Al is a member of Waterloo and the President of the Watercolor Society of South Texas. He enjoys
teaching workshops and recently taught one abroad.
He will bring copies of his book for those who are interested. $30
Join Al and explore painting and expressing the subject, in a manner fit to watercolor!
“This medium allows my art to express an atmosphere of impressionism as the paint flows and
reacts on paper. This is something that I cannot control, nor do I want to. I allow the medium to
offer certain details and effects offering a variety of edges and atmosphere to form an
impression that exploits the properties only found in this magical medium,” says Al.
We will begin with a painting of a dog, as a warm-up in the morning session, and then spend a
little more time on techniques with the bird painting in the afternoon.
Al will demonstrate a larger bird painting.
*A supply list will be sent. All levels of painters are welcome!
